St. Luke's Better Health: Kidney Disease and Diabetes

By Ken Dey, News and Community
September 3, 2013

91,000 Idahoans have diabetes -- and nearly 10,000 new cases are diagnosed each year. An upcoming seminar at St. Luke's Magic Valley on Sept. 5, 2013 will cover the connection between kidney disease and diabetes. Diabetes accounts for 40 percent of all kidney failure among Americans. In this Better Health Segment, Dr Michelle Myers with St. Luke's clinic nephrology, says education is the key to managing or even preventing this life threatening disease.
