Blood Borne Pathogens Program

St. Luke's Occupational Health assists employers in meeting the requirements of OSHA's Blood Borne Pathogen Standard 1910.1030. This standard applies to all employers whose employees are, or may be, exposed to blood or other potentially infectious materials while on the job.

Program Components

  •  Assist with developing an exposure control plan
  •  Educate employees about standard precautions and general personal protective measures
  •  Assist with identifying guidelines for hepatitis B immunizations and providing immunizations when requested
  •  Identify and provide the components of a post-exposure follow-up program, such as lab work and medical treatment
