- A charge of N/A indicates that the procedures are not set up for use in that setting (e.g., a hospital procedure that we do not perform in an outpatient clinic).
- Drug prices may vary based on quantity and cost to hospital. Supply prices may vary based on manufacturer's cost to hospital.
- For several charges, pricing varies. Typically, a charge varies for one of these reasons:
- Unlisted procedure: Some procedures do not exactly match an existing billing code. To determine the appropriate charge amount, we consider the most similar procedure along with the procedure's relative complexity (more, less, same)
- External lab: The charge amount is based on St. Luke's cost to use an external lab for test results
- Partial hospitalization: for many psychological and psychiatric services, charges are bundled daily and billed monthly.
